A Life That Left an Impact
There are certain people whose presence naturally brings people together.
Deametrious St. John was one of those people.
Whether you knew him through politics, community organizing, business, mentorship, media, friendship, or simply through one unforgettable conversation, you likely walked away feeling encouraged, inspired, challenged, or uplifted.
For nearly two decades, Deametrious worked alongside leaders, elected officials, organizations, entrepreneurs, and grassroots advocates across Northeast Ohio and beyond. Through Strategic Media Network, Strategic Resources Consulting, community initiatives, and political engagement, he dedicated his life to helping others build, organize, grow, and succeed.
But beyond titles and accomplishments, what many of us will remember most is his spirit.
He loved people.
He loved conversation.
He loved laughter.
He loved community.
And he never stopped believing in the power of bringing people together.
One of the reasons I chose the flyer photo with comedian Sheryl Underwood is because it perfectly captures the energy so many of us remember about him — good memories, good people, good laughs, and moments that stayed with you long after they happened.
This gathering is not intended to be a traditional funeral service.
We already laid our brother to rest.
Now, we come together as friends, family, colleagues, and community members to celebrate his life, share stories, laugh, reflect, reconnect, and honor the incredible legacy he leaves behind.
